1918

Dr. Coker selects the site for the Forest Theatre in Battle Park, a sloped, grassy hillside leading down to a natural plateau. In 1919, the first outdoor performance of the Carolina Playmakers, “Taming of the Shrew,” is performed in the Forest Theatre.
