Cyathium

Definition: An inflorescence consisting of a single, naked, terminal pistillate flower with several tiny, naked, lateral staminate flowers, the whole more or less enclosed by a cuplike whorl of bracts (involucre) and resembling a single flower; as in poinsettias (Euphorbia).
